Frequently asked questions

How do I create an account?

Open the Ligoscope app and tap "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google" on the welcome screen. You can also sign up with an email address and password.

I'm signed in but the app says "you must be signed in"

This can happen briefly right after your very first sign-in while your profile is being created. Force-close and reopen the app once — if the issue continues, email us at hello@ligoscope.com with your account email and we'll look into it right away.

How do I change my streaming services or region?

Go to Settings → Content → Streaming Services from your profile. Select the services you're subscribed to and your region, then tap Save.

How do I make my account or a specific log private?

Go to Settings → Privacy to make your whole account private (new followers must be approved), or set the visibility (Public, Friends Only, Private) individually on any diary entry or review when you log it.

How do I report a bug or a piece of content?

For a bug, go to Settings → Report a problem, or email hello@ligoscope.com. To report a specific user, review, or comment, open it and use the "Report" option — our team reviews every report.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently and irreversibly removes your account and all associated data — logs, reviews, lists, and images. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Where does film and series data come from?

Ligoscope uses The Movie Database (TMDB) for titles, posters, and streaming availability. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
